BLOCKED
Blocked is a publication concept about artist block and being trapped in that frustrating cycle. The content features conversational content that discusses and attempts to work through and understand artist block with the reader. Blocky illustrations are used to help convey that message and connect with the reader.
Objective:
The objective of this magazine was to create something that artists could come to in moments of creative stagnation and to relief some pressure through helpful conversations and tips. It was to be relatable and something that offered support, and understanding.Role:

The final publication functions more like a supportive companion than a traditional magazine. Blocked offers gentle guidance, practical tips, and conversational reflection that an artist can keep by their side during tough creative moments. Instead of preaching solutions, it speaks with the reader — validating their frustrations, offering small steps forward, and reminding them that the block is temporary. It becomes something you can flip through when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure, giving you both comfort and useful ways to move through the fog.
